We’re thrilled to welcome Chantal to WellCool as our Parent Ambassador.

A devoted mum of four, Chantal’s journey took a life-changing turn when her youngest son, Jenson, was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy on his first birthday. In addition to this, Jenson lives with autism and learning difficulties. Such experiences have shaped Chantal’s advocacy work.

With a professional background spanning retail, finance, and later childcare, Chantal brings a unique blend of skills and lived experience to her role. She holds an honours degree in Childhood Studies, specialising in autism research; a reflection of her commitment to understanding and supporting neurodiverse children.

Jenson’s care is managed across three hospitals, including weekly visits to Great Ormond Street Hospital as part of a two-year drug trial. Despite the demands of this journey, Chantal continues to raise awareness, champion support for children with similar needs, and offer encouragement to other families navigating similar paths.

We are honoured to have Chantal as part of the Well Cool community : her voice, insight, and empathy are going to be truly invaluable.
